Cancer cure – serious side to a fun day Posted on April 9, 2009February 25, 2018 by Carly du Toit AN AFTERNOON of fun and fine food yesterday had a serious side, with patrons aiding research into a cure for cancer. The Launceston Cancerians Committee hosted its fourth annual Wining And Dining For A Cure at Hadspen’s historic Entally Estate, with 180 people giving their support. Committee secretary Trudi Johnston said all of the $6000 raised at this year’s event would go to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation. “With all the charity fundraising that is going on at the moment we were expecting about 150 people, so we’re very happy with 180,” Mrs Johnston said.
